Vacuum bell

So I'm posting photos before using vacuum bell (the first two), and those I took now. They are bigger then 300X300 - so i just put links to them.

I've clicked on ach of the links, but I just get this same page re loaded.

Even if the results aren't permanent, or require maintainance with the vacuum bell, it would give wonderful insight for a decision about getting p.e. surgery.

Okay, I was able to see the pics by typing the URLs into my browser.

Wow it works, even if maintenance is needed !

Yes it caves back in in 6-8 hours but not to the extent it was. Then I use bell again. The manual says, and the doctor who consulted me also says that it would work in the long run. In most cases nuss works in long run, why shouldn't this?! If you'd remove the bar in one week since surgery of course your pe will reemerge. Using the bell just once wouldnt help either. Time will tell. The mimimum time stated in the manual is 4 months. Doctor told me to be prepared to use it for a year or more to get stable.
Time will tell. Even if it wouldn't work for me in long run I still will use it for example before going to the beach.

Techzsue, I dont know. In fact my pe is moderate (1 inch), also as we know the outcome is not always connected with the level of pe. My background is a bit different than in most cases, I think. I wasn't born with pe, it only appeared when I was 13. It caved in suuddenly 2cm and stayed like this in the past 10 years.

Wow! Those are great results! Even though the long term results aren't determined, this is truly amazing. I believe I have moderate pectus excavatum as well. If it worked for you, it'll probably work for me too.

*sigh* If only there was a way to get a vacuum bell in the US. I hope that it is made available here soon.

Anyway, congratulations! I hope it all works out for you!

Hopefully a link ( with good translation ) for contacting Eckart Klobe about the Vacuum Bell will be added to the 'Links' list.

The Google translation is a bit 'sketchy', and the some of the contact info is still in German. It would be nice to have an efficient way of contacting him, from outside of Europe.

This looks pretty incredible Gallardo. I really wanna get my hands on one of those, but I live in Canada... Could be difficult. Where do you live, and how did you get yours?

You may try to speak via email with Klobe. I dont think he'll send the bell, most probably he would advice on coming to Germany.

Good short term results but considering it takes at least 2 years for a steel bar constantly pushing the sternum out to correct pe I am sceptical of long term results.

Also, what effect would the suction have on your internal organs? I would imagine that your skin must also be effected as well.

One interesting use of this device could be as a pre nuss operation device to lift the sternum up to help ease the bar(s) in place.

Thats a pessimistic look...
As to the internal organs - they do not suffer (according to the manual and to tests), skin is a bit red after applying.

Hello gellardo,
i am really interested in how your progress is going with this vacuum bell. How long have you been using it now and what results have you had so far? Any bad points etc?
Also how did you manage to get hold of it? did you go to germany?

I would also think that your skin would get damaged after years of use.
I hope it dosnt hurt your body & or skin in the long run :nw:

Gallardo Its your body and I do hope you are getting what you think/want out of this product best of luck with it...

Gallardo,

You are in Florida, right?

How did you coordinate treatment in the U.S. ?

Did you have to go to Germany?

Did you have to be seen by a German doctor first ?

Or, did you have to have a U.S. doctor contact Mr. Klobe?

Or, did you find a U.S. doctor who already knew about the vacuum bell?

Sorry, must have had another post in mind. Or maybe I thought Florida was the only place that has a beach.

BTW, I emailed Mr. Klobe, and, as you said, at present he does advise going to Germany to obtain the vacuum bell.

There're 3 sizes of the bell. I use the largest. The smallest is for children, the largest - for adults... anyway you have to measure your chest.
