watchin the nuss procedure


should i watch a nuss video? or would that be too graphic for me and just make me more anxious when the time for me to be nuss comes?

The grossest part for me was when the surgeon sticks his finger into your skin and makes the pocket thing... it's too weird seeing fingers poke out under someone's skin! It might make you more anxious but I think watching the video first kind of helps you cope with the pain afterwards since you know exactly what was done to you.

i think the aggressive part is when the surgeon push the bar up/down already into your body :s

ok i watched it.... yea the finger in the skin was the worse... its like.. u know ur skin is gonna be torn out of ur ribs... *shivers*

all in all.. i think its good to watch... better understanding of it all.

I always wondered how your skin would be after it's stretched out into a huge hole like that but after the incisions are healed it's actually not that bad. It's also weird wondering what the inside will be like once the bar is out!

I've seen clips of the actual operation and it was pretty brutal. I think I'll wait until after my surgery to really take a look at it.
