Christina, you will be so pleased with how bras fit after your operation. I never have to adjust my bra any more--woohoo! And I can honestly say
that I don't mind changing from a B cup to an A cup. They look a little smaller, but they're even now (they used to be asymmetric) and they fit into
bras perfectly. Plus, they're perky.

Awesome!! I am so excited for that! I've already purchased a bikini for after the operation. I'm pretty modest.. But I got one that doesn't hide my
sternum, just has the regular triangles. I've been wearing a bathing suit that has a strap over my sternum for many years. I can't wait to wear my new
bikini for the first time without my dent!

Hi ladies,
As my Nuss surgery date approaches in about a month, a question has been on my mind. This is silly and trivial in the big scheme of things, just to
warn you! The surgeon has told me it'll hurt to raise my arms over my head after surgery for some time. I'm wondering if you ladies have found it
difficult to wash your hair and/or blow dry your hair after surgery? Were you not able to do that for awhile? If so, for about how long? Thanks in
advance for your words of experience on this oh so crucial matter

Hi jojane! Yes it will indeed be difficult to wash your hair at first. Also it will be tough to pull your clothes over your head. I think I managed
to wash my own hair using one hand not too long after the surgery, but the first few times my mom helped me. I also put a folding chair in the shower
with a towel on it to sit on. I think I leaned forward with my hair in the stream of water and washed it that way. Blow drying the hair will
definitely be out at first.
Basically I couldn't raise either arm higher than shoulder level (straight out) for a while--probably 4-6 weeks. You will also have trouble reaching
for things up high. Also you won't be able to bend over very well, so picking up things down low will be a challenge.
