Always was going to be hard after the op. It is strange when you have the epidural out too. Its kinda worrying too about the pain being bad.
The tubes will come out eventually just takes time.
Sounds like your doing well. Keep up your spirits.

Davy,
You must be doing some progress if they are removing tubes from you. Seems that everyday you are reporting on some hospital equipment being removed
from you
I had epidural in my back for 13 days. Talking about being pain free
13 is the number that I will assocciate with the hospital. I had the tubes in my body for 13 days too.
Davy you are almost there! How is your new chest?

Another day!
Hey guys.
Thanks for the support.
Was hoping to get last toob out yesterday, and it didnt happen. I have about 50ml build up today so I dontthink till tomorrow.
I think ultrasound today as well.
Yesterday was a nasty day for pain so I didnt coach tons. I am doingmore today.
Slowly but surely.
In regards to questions.
All toobs out except for one drain that just wont give up.
I love my new chest.
Needs tons of muscle work etc.............. but Scharr did an awesome job in my opinion.

Davy,
The pain that you are fighting right now will be gone soon, but your new chest will stay there forever And that's what it is all about.
Who is removing your tubes? All of my tubes were taken out by that huge doctor with the mustache
Get well fast!

Davy,
So glad to hear that you've come through the surgery and that you're on track to recovery now. I hope you can get that last tube out soon and that
you're not in too much pain. Reading your story is so helpful and encouraging! Stay well and feel better soon.

Update Day 11
Well I am in lots of pain still.
Last few days been going up. Not good.
The coach I am not doing well on. I has fluids sucked out of me in the theatre the other day. That was not pleasant. I thought cuz of that, I would be
able to do more on the coach. booo. Not happening. I struggle but can get 2500 on the coach. Hope to back to 3000 today.
leave to go home in 48 hours. A bit nervous with the pain going up........
Also need to get an ultrasound done to see if any fluids have built up. The guy listening to my heart yesterday said on one side I have fluid for
sure. I mean if its like 100-150ml then I dont care. Hopefully get that today.
Will keep u updated.

Davy, sounds like you are recovering ok, I'm also not happy with the bloody lung trainer, I did almost 2000 2 days ago but fell back to around 1500
yesterday, not good at all. Will continue today, had my first session at 7.30am, around 1500-1750, annoying to say the least. Doing ok with the 3 ball
thing, can keep 3 balls up for a couple of secs. will have another x-ray at 10am today, we'll see how that goes, need to make some progress now, hope
to see you before you take off, keep on working..

Hang in there Davy. Try to upgrade if you can because I won't lie to you...that trip home is an adventure. Just make sure you ask the doctors to give
you "the patch" that should help a little with the pain. But expect everyone to be bumping into you and the flight to feel particularly bumpy ...it'll feel like "everyday occurences" will get magnified 100 times. Prepare
yourself mentally, and just get home!!

Davy, it was good to have you battle it out here with me at Helios. Quite the experience. You're probably waiting at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam
right now, waiting to go to Vancouver. It's a long flight but I'm sure you'll do fine. Let me know how your travel home went, when you get home.

Davy is home!
Talked to him 2x on Tuesday. He is in pain but the guy spent the entire day at his desk job. First day home and went to work all day. What a Crazy
Mother Dumpling.
Oh yah he said the Dbl-Nuss hurts like **@?!! <~~~ if you can read that.
He said focusing on work diverted his mind from the pain. When he got up from his desk, the stretching hurt like ****.
There you go Everyone, Davys home.
Randy

Update Day 17
Hey everyone!!!!!
I am back in Canada. Feels so good to be home.
The plane ride home was really ruff for me. Once I got back I needed rest bigtime.
I had a 10 hour flight from Amsterdam to Vancouver. It was nasty.
I dont like to take painkillers. This is where I really need to improve. I have to accept the fact that I am really hurting and go ahead and take what
is necessary.
So just wanted to let you all know I am doing ok. I just feel that I am in more pain then the average at this stage. However I feel this is a bit of
my own fault because of trying to be tough with not taking enough painkillers.
Germany was a cool experience meeting all of you guys that were getting nussed around the sametime. You are all my friends now. So cool!!!
I have been losing a bit more weight now. I weigh about 149lbs. I am 6ft tall. I like my new chest. I just need to gain weight and I will look good. I
will have pics up in a few days.
Also just wanted to take a quick sec to everyone for there support and an extra special thanks to Randy.
He has supported me and he has let me ask him like a zillion questions.
No amount of words could ever explain how thankful I am for all that you have done for me buddy. You da best.
Will post more soon everyone.

Thank You for you compliment. If any one wants support I will give all I have to give. I would also ask some of the older people who are nussed to
step forward and offer the most important gift you have to offer. Your Time. Helping others defeat this ugly nasty horrific monster we call PE.
Any one here can help others. A simple u2u and a phone call if necessary is all others need to help them navigate this journey.
Thanks Every One

Yah that is what it seems, many come and get information, become active and then split. It's normal for most. Close the book on a hated deformity.
