UK surgeon recomendations
Hi everyone,
I was hoping you could recomend some uk based surgeons?
Im just fed up of pe now! i saw my gp a few months back just to check everything was ok, he did some x-rays had a look and said its pe (although i
allready knew this) said everything was ok and it was best left alone and i decided i could live with it.
However, following a holiday abroard with friends pressuring me to go in the pool and into waterparks and beach watersports activity's i think i want
something done.
I just lie and say i can't swim and dont like swimming but really as they don't know the real reason must think me a bit of a spoilsport.
I would love to go to berlin to scharr as he is so highly recomended but at 19 i can't afford it.
So anyway i've drifted off a bit there but anyone who's had it fixed in the uk could you recomend your surgeons please, once armed with that info i
should think my gp would refer me, he is quite a nice guy.
Thanks for taking the time to read and thanks in advance for replies,
Martyn.

reynolds did you rub my lamp again?
i highly recommend the royal devon and exeter hospital for nuss surgery in the UK, they as far as i know have the most experience and use pilegaards
modified technique which offers a quicker recovery over the standard nuss.
The details for Exeter are:
Mr P Froeschle
Thoracic surgery
Royal Devon and Exeter hospital (wonford)
Barrack road
Exeter
EX2 5DW

Mart27, good luck with your search. We all know very well how it is around summer. Staying away from pool or beaches.
Damn, I am not that brave This weekend I will spend 2 days on the boat with my
friends. Just wearing a t-shirt will be huge victory for me For the first time I
wont have to have two layers of cloathing.
Sorry I went OT but couldn't resist the urge

Martyn, I moved to the beach with my family about 2 months ago. I can't tell you how many times I've made up an excuse to not go to a pool or go to
the beach. My kids are 2 and 3 years old now and my excuses are running out. I can totally relate. PE sucks.

maximus, i feel you. That was the reason i finally decided i HAD to do something as i realised it wasnt just affecting me but was having an affect on
the family. I have 3 kids who love the pool & beach and daddy(me) always had an excuse not to go!
From my experience having this surgery has changed not only my life but my families life for the better.
