Hi everyone, getting my PE fixed by Dr. J is still on my mind.
I'm sure by now that a lot of people have been fixed by her.
Are there any extra tips that could help me in the process of setting up a meeting and surgery with her? Thanks.

Yes that is the correct contact info, give her a call, she is absolutely wonderful to work with! She will answer all your questions and go the extra mile for you in battling with insurance if required!
Good luck.

Hi everyone!!! It's been a while. :) I see I have some catching up to do. I've learned that a few who had the procedure done around the time of my attempt is now getting or has had their bars out!!

I hope the group has continued using the CT Protocols sheet I posted!!

OK, I need help with catching up. What are any new developments in doctors, hospitals, insurance procedures (esp since Obamacare has started)? Jackie also told me that there's something called "rule track" - anymore info on that?, etc, etc, etc,
Thanks!!! :re:

And one more thing: I've graduated!! I'm done with school!! I have time now!!

Hi Newtonian,
You should contact Kelly Myers at 480-342-0958 or myers.kelly@mayo.edu. You have that above previously in this thread. I have spoken to her about you and she should have all your records when you requested they be sent before but check with her first.
Good luck and let us know your thoughts and how things progress on your re-started journey.:D It is called the Rultract surgical retractor system. AMAZING!!
Congratulations on your graduation!!:nw::nw:

Hi everyone!:)
I just finished my first year of work after graduation.
I am now (again) creating a plan on how I will get my procedure done by Dr. J.
I will try to put more updates frequently.
I hope my fellow PE patients from a few years ago are still active on this site.

Will a Blue Cross plan through Covered California work at the Mayo where Dr. J is? There is a suitcase on my card.

Best to talk with Kelly. She can help you out better. Usually, PPO for BC&BS will cover it as long as you meet the requirements/criteria for surgery. That is what I had and used.

Wow it has been so long. I was so active a few years ago but life got in the way. Are my old friends from a few years ago still active?
Including jojane, techdude, and more. How's Dr J doing?
I hope I can get my PE fixed before she retires! :(
I hope everyone has been using my documents to help them with getting the right CT scans.

Are there any new procedures/technologies that have improved the Nuss procedure in addition to rultract?

I want to start getting in shape to prepare for the procedure.
What exercises should I do and how will I know when I'm ready to get a consultation? I need to stretch and bulk up a little - I'm very skinny.
I just got myself a set of resistance bands - I don't have space at home for weights and time for a gym membership.

Is there a video series of an exercise regimen, online, that someone can recommend?
