Before
Corrective Surgery
Interpretation:
"1. The flow-volume loops are abnormal and suggestive of an
upper airway obstruction. Clinical correlation is advised.
2. Lung volumes are borderline low.
3. DLCO is mildly reduced, but DLCO/VA is normal. Therefore, the
mild restriction is probably due to patient's chest wall deformity."

One
year post corrective surgery
Interpretation:
"Spirometry reveals vital capacity, VEV1/FVC and expiratory
flow rates within normal limits. No significant post-bronchodilator
change. Lung volumes are also within normal limits. Flow-volume
loop configuration indicates no evident obstruction and good patient
technique."
